VIDEO: Trump Slams Chris Christie During New Hampshire Campaign

Former President Donald Trump ⁢ Mocks Chris Christie’s Eating Habits

During⁣ a campaign stop in New Hampshire, Donald Trump couldn’t resist ‌taking ‍a playful jab at former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. “Christie, he’s⁤ eating right now,” Trump remarked, suggesting that Christie couldn’t be bothered with the campaign.

Trump then addressed‌ someone in the ⁢audience who had apparently called Christie a “fat ‌pig.” In a lighthearted manner, he said, ⁢”Sir, please do not call ⁤him⁤ a fat pig, that’s very disres–, ⁢don’t call him. See, I’m trying to be nice. Don’t call him a‍ ‘fat pig.’ You can’t do it. You can’t do that. So, now because you’re not allowed to do that and therefore we’re not going to do it, okay?”

“We want to be very civil, right?” Trump continued, emphasizing the ‌importance of maintaining a respectful tone.

Christie responded to⁤ Trump’s weight-related mockery, expressing‌ concern that it could alienate potential voters. “As you know, ‍there are tens of millions of Americans out there who struggle each and every day with their weight. And I’m one of them,” Christie said.⁣ He went‍ on ⁢to mention his ⁤own weight loss journey and criticized Trump’s behavior, stating, “Maybe he should look ⁤in the mirror, cause this guy ain’t Arnold Schwarzenegger. Okay. I’ve seen some of those pictures of him golfing. ⁢He doesn’t look like a Greek god to me.”

The news comes after a⁣ recent poll‍ showed a closer race⁢ between Trump and Florida⁤ Governor Ron DeSantis ⁣in New Hampshire, which is the‌ first Republican primary state after Iowa, than what national polls⁤ indicate.
