WATCH: Weatherman prays live on TV as tornado hit his Mississippi town
AMississippi meteorologist became overwhelmed and paused his reporting of the trajectory of a tornado to pray live on air for the people in his small town of Amory.
Matt Laubhan of WTVA received word that the destructive crack was headed directly for his large Mississippi city on Friday evening as he watched and shared updates on his radar screen of it approaching his area.

He leaned down on his desk to pray and said,” Oh man, North part of Amory, this is coming in.” Oh, man. Jesus, kindly assist them. Amen.
Late on Friday night, the terrible storm swept across Mississippi and Alabama, leaving a trail of devastation that stretched for more than 100 kilometers. As least 23 people have reportedly passed away in Mississippi, according to authorities.
Governor of Mississippi Tate Reeves urged people to join him in praying for the tornado-affected Mississippians.

” The state of Mississippi may keep doing everything it can to gather all the resources we have to help our other Mississippians who are in need. They did receive assistance from the state to recover. We’re stuck with it for the long haul and won’t be leaving anytime soon ,” he said in a statement.
