Whoopi Goldberg Blames the Audience for Inappropriate Slip-Up During Show
On Tuesday, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg found herself in an embarrassing situation. While discussing food and travel on the liberal morning talk show, Goldberg mispronounced a key word and unintentionally used profanity.
As she read a segment about people’s preferences when traveling, Goldberg accidentally said a word that sounded like a profanity. She quickly corrected herself, but not before the studio audience and her co-hosts burst into laughter.
In an attempt to lighten the situation, co-host Sara Haines joked about personally traveling for the beaches. Goldberg apologized again and blamed the slip-up on the studio audience, pointing at them and saying, “This is y’all’s fault.” However, she couldn’t provide a valid reason for why the audience was to blame.
Despite the awkward moment, the conversation shifted to a discussion about food and culture, led by co-host Sunny Hostin. However, Twitter users were not impressed with Goldberg’s mistake, with one user asking, “How is this show still on the air?”

This is not the first time Goldberg has had an unintended outburst on “The View.” In a previous episode, she appeared to emit flatulence, which she later confirmed as gas.
Despite these incidents, “The View” remains a popular daytime talk show, ranking as the most-watched in 2021 and 2022, according to Variety.
