We Should Deport Pelosi Attacker And All Other Illegal Aliens
David DePape — the alleged attacker who pummeled Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, with a hammer — was in the country illegally after overstaying his visa 14 years ago, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
DePape, such as all other illegal aliens, should be deported.
According to The Hill, Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on DePape on Tuesday after federal authorities formally charged him with assault and kidnapping charges. The outlet noted that “records show DePape, who is a Canadian national, entered the United States as a temporary visitor in March 2008” via the “San Ysidro point of entry on the border between California and Mexico.”
DePape is just one of the millions of illegal aliens currently residing in the United States. In 2018, Yale released a study showing that at the time, there were likely 22 million individuals just like DePape in America.
Under President Joe Biden alone, some estimates claim at least 5.5 million illegal immigrants have entered the country.
Many of those folks find sanctuary in cities such as San Francisco, where government leaders have passed declarations pledging to protect unlawful residents. Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom was emphatic in 2019 that illegal aliens would always have a home in the Golden State.
When former President Donald J. Trump attempted to crack down on ne’er-do-wells who ignored America’s immigration law, Newsom blasted him for executing the law.
“The President’s proposed raids are cruel, misdirected and are creating unnecessary fear and anxiety,” Newsom said in a statement at the time.
“I want Californians to know they have legal rights and protections, regardless of their immigration status,” he added. “California is a place of refuge – that includes our schools, our courts and our hospitals and clinics. We hold certain institutions sacred and people should continue to access programs and services they need.”
The San Francisco police were also steadfast in their goals to thwart the president’s actions.
“We do not enforce immigration laws,” the SFPD said in a statement. “The SFPD does not and will not provide assistance for any ICE/CBP operations or ‘raids,’ nor would SFPD members transport anyone suspected of solely violating immigration law.”
But when laws aren’t enforced, apparent nutcases like DePape are allowed to stay in the country. The pro-nudist druggie, who allegedly was once convinced he was Jesus, likely would not have been in the country had America enforced its immigration laws more proactively over the last 20 years.
Instead, though, the president is using DePape as supposed evidence that Republicans are stirring political violence. Why? He had a blog that spouted fringe talking points about Q-Anon and other lurid, racist stories. Per a phone call from prison, his “ex-life partner” and convicted criminal, Oxane “Gypsy” Taub, says that when she knew DePape, he was a leftist.
Whatever the case, he seems insane.
Yet it is equally crazy that an illegal alien broke into the Speaker of the House’s home and the national conversation is not centered around securing our nation’s border — even as hundreds pour over it each day.
