Parody musical legend “Weird Al” Yankovic was featured prominently in a newly released music video from Schmoyoho, which poked fun at the CNN debate.

The song’s title, “Deja Vu (But Worse),” is in reference to how this year’s presidential election is looking to be a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, as both are the presumptive nominees of their respective parties. The video features Yankovic as a CNN moderator for the first presidential debate singing the questions to the candidates, with footage of Biden and Trump from the debate played in response.

“I think I’m getting deja vu, just me and the same two dudes,” Yankovic sings. “Have we fallen under a wizard’s curse to suffer deja vu but worse? My frontal lobe hurts!”

The video also features a CNN headline stating how voters thought the first debate would be a sequel to the 2020 election cycle but instead is “a horror reboot.” The headline showed up as Yankovic was comparing the 2024 election cycle to bad movie sequels, including Home Sweet Home Alone and Shrek the Third.

Schmoyoho, known on YouTube for its countless music videos that “songify” various politicians and internet memes, has already collaborated with Yankovic twice, with both times related to music videos related to presidential debates. The first video in 2016, “Bad Hombres, Nasty Women,” featured Yankovic as a moderator between Trump and then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, while the second one in 2020, “WE’RE ALL DOOMED,” featured Yankovic back in the moderator role between Trump and Biden.

The first presidential debate saw Biden and Trump address questions on how they would deal with various topics facing the country, including the economy, global security, and border security. Many considered Biden’s performance at the debate to be disappointing, with some posing the question of whether the president should step aside in his 2024 reelection bid.

First lady Jill Biden, however, has brushed aside concerns related to her husband, saying the president “will always do what’s best for the country.” She added he will not let Thursday night’s debate define his presidency and that the Biden family will “continue to fight.”
