WestJet to close Sunwing Airlines.

(Reuters) – WestJet group is planning an exciting change by integrating low-cost carrier Sunwing Airlines into its main business, according to a memo seen by Reuters. This move is part of WestJet’s ongoing integration process after acquiring Sunwing Airlines in May.

Once the integration is complete, all Sunwing employees will continue to have employment with Westjet, said Len Corrado, President of Sunwing Airlines, in the internal memo sent to the employees.
