What Did Biden Know and When Did He Know It? – Ten Questions Biden Must Answer
“What did the president know, and when did he know it?”
This was Richard Nixon’s question during the Watergate scandal in the 1970s. Of course, the presumption was that the 37th president knew more than he was letting on about the scandalous activities. Watergate led to Nixon’s resignation.
Today, I’d like to ask the same question of Joe Biden about the China Spy Balloon-gate scandal. OThe matter of the Chinese spy ball is far more serious than that of Watergate because it could affect the safety and well being of 335 million Americans.
Yes, President Biden finally oversaw the shoot-down of the spy balloon on Saturday, but only after it had spent days floating over the United States’ landmass from Alaska South Carolina This is the best way to deal with an intrusion a rival — even adversarial — superpower? We should allow their surveillance devices to roam our country and deal only with them After they’ve finished their American tour?
Important questions need answers. Without further delay, here are ten questions:
1. Bloomberg News Mr. President Reports Make sure your administration is first You already knew About the balloon on January 28, And yet the public didn’t become aware of it until six days later, on February 2, when The Billings Gazette published amateur Video The balloon in the sky. This was the moment it made international news. Why is there a lag in awareness? Is this a cover up? And is it true, as Bloomberg News suggests, that your administration sat on the balloon news so as not to disrupt Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s trip to Beijing, which has now been Postponed? Bloomberg says it best: “with such a high-profile trip at stake, keeping it on the down-low was key.” Is this how your team saw it? Keep the story alive “down-low”? If so, how? The Chinese knew about the balloon—why shouldn’t Americans?
2. We are well aware that liberals tend to prefer negotiation to confrontation. John Kerry, your senior climate ambassador, has said that China’s engagement is the most important international issue. Climate change. You may have even used the phrase “a href=”https://www.reuters.com/business/environment/cop27-biden-says-climate-crisis-is-about-human-security-economic-security-2022-11-11/”>“existential threat” many times in regard to climate change — a stark phrase that you have never used about China. So, has your administration’s desire to work with China on the “existential threat” What has the impact of climate change on your stance on spy balloon? Did these concerns — as you define it, the fate of the planet — give you any feeling that you should slow down your reaction to this Chinese aggression? This might help to explain why you allowed the spy balloon to exist in American airspace. Week?
3. Donald Trump , “shoot down the balloon.” Interestingly, Leon Panetta (a fellow Democrat), served as your secretary of defense in the Obama administration. Has said The same thing. Are Trump and Panetta right? Is it possible to say that you followed their lead?
4. Bloomberg News Reports, “In an effort to keep things calm, administration officials stressed this was not the first such incident and that similar activities had been observed over the past several years, including during the prior administration.” WWhat exactly is the meaning of hat? Is it possible that your anonymous briefers to media stated that a previous balloon flew above the United States, but the Trump administration did not do anything? That’s quite an assertion! Would you and your colleagues agree with that statement? Unter oath as testimony before Congress
5. Chad Wolf (ex-acting secretary for Homeland Security in Trump’s administration) is a follow-up. declared, “Bottom line, a Chinese spy balloon would NEVER happen under an America First admin.” Is Wolf right? Are his perceptions of his own administration misinformed?
6. If it It is In the event that Chinese surveillance ballons fly over or near the United States, could you please explain the security policies and procedures you have in place since you assumed office? WThese policies were followed in the case ot this spy balloon? Is it possible to allow the balloon into American airspace so that it can fly the entire distance across the country, without any further action? And on Saturday afternoon, you indicated that you had given orders back on February 1 to shoot down the balloon when it was over water as opposed to land. It would appear that you have a significant paper trail of your executive decision making. Would you be willing to open all those deliberations to the relevant Congressional oversight committees? And Perhaps to the general public?
As a follow-up, sir. Rep. Mike Rogers, R-AL, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee has declared, “It’s clear the Biden administration had hoped to hide this national security failure from Congress and the American people.” Rogers is suggesting that you chose to shoot down the spy satellite after it was discovered. Rep. Rogers is he wrong? If so, are you willing to release the documents to bolster your assertion that he’s wrong? Surely such full disclosure would be the best way to convince the public that you didn’t simply bow to pressure once the balloon’s intrusion became known.
7. Bloomberg News Additional notes, in a story credit to six of its reporters “The Biden administration knew it had to exercise extreme caution especially in what was a heated political environment ahead of 2024 elections, with Republicans agitating on which party could strike a harder or tougher line on China.” Is it? This How do you view the Chinese spy balloon issue It is a political issue? You could be viewed as a potential source of vulnerability during your possible re-election campaign If so Have concerns over 2024 influenced your actions regarding the spy balloon
8. Is the $54.6 million In donations from sources in China poured into your “think tank,” What has the Penn Biden Center had on your outlook about China? Or the thought of Antony Blinken your Secretary of State, who was also the former managing director of the Penn Biden Center when it Raised in All that cash from Communist China And is there anything you want to tell us about the influence of your son Hunter Biden’s many and various Chinese Business Partners? Do you have any other information you’d like to share with us? $31 Million How many family members have made five business deals in the past with individuals who are close to the top Chinese intelligence apparatus officials?
9. Now we see Reports A Second Chinese spy balloon flies over South America What will the U.S. Do if this balloon also enters American Airspace? Or, do you intend to stop it now? Before It enters American Airspace What will you do to communicate with China that this is unacceptable in any case? What is your overall policy regarding such incursions and will you outline it?
10. According to some reports, the Chinese spy balloon intentionally avoided flying. Russian airspace, which suggests that the People’s Republic of China had tight control over the spy balloon and used that control to avoid doing anything to upset the Russians. What is it that the Chinese did to treat you? America differently? Speaking of Russia, what will America do if Russia sends over a spy satellite? Oder the North Koreans? Or the Iranians. Will you let such spy balloons to fly over the nation first and only then Shoot them! What if it’s some other kind of aircraft or spacecraft? What new defense systems are we likely to need in order to combat this threat?
These are my ten questions about the spy balloon. Thank you, Mr. President, very much for your complete and comprehensive answers.
Oh, one last thing, sir.
Watergate scandal was your experience as a senator in the United States. “What did the president know, and when did he know it?”
In that same spirit, I’d like to ask you about all the classified documents that keep Popping You are welcome to visit the Penn Biden Center and other locations. And sir, with all due respect, if you don’t mind, I’d like to have your answers Under oath
