‘What Do You Say?’: Wisconsin Dairy Offers Aaron Rodgers An Incentive To Stay With The Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is arguably one of the best in the NFL. When rumors began to swirl about his desire to leave the Wisconsin team, loyal Packers fans were, rightfully, upset.

Tensions have been brewing ever since the organization drafted Utah State quarterback Jordan Love during the first round of the 2020 draft. The Packers failed to give Rodgers a heads up, which is customary. To fans and players alike, drafting a quarterback during a first-round pick means one thing: the organization is moving in a different direction… and without their star quarterback.

As The Daily Wire previously reported, “Rodgers reportedly is adamant that he won’t return to Green Bay if current general manager Brian Gutekunst is still in charge. According to Yahoo! Sports Charles Robinson, Rodgers is willing to sit out offseason activities or hold out of training camp in order to get out of Green Bay. Robinson also reports that Rodgers may consider retirement to force the Packers hand. Gutekunst is responsible for drafting quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 draft without notifying Rodgers.”

But a dairy in Wisconsin is hoping to sweeten the deal for Rodgers. If the quarterback stays on as a Green Bay Packer, the Burnett Dairy Cooperative will provide him with free cheese, the letter indicates.

As a cooperative, we understanding running a business often requires making decisions to plan for the future. We also believe a little cheese can make any situation better. That’s why Burnett Dairy Cooperative is ready to make this pledge:

As long as Aaron Rodgers remains in Green Bay, we’re offering him free cheese. And if he retires with the Packers, we will make it a lifetime offer.

Aaron, please reach out if interested. Hopefully, we can make this situation cheddar.

While the deal sounds cheesy, it could be a bit of a problem. Back in 2016, Rodgers told ESPN he was changing his diet and eliminating dairy products as part of his recovery from knee surgery. He’s on “more of a vegan diet with some red meat at times and some chicken.” The overwhelming majority of his diet, however, is “mostly vegetables” and some fruits.

“I just wanted to get healthier,” Rodgers explained at the time. “I’ve done a lot of research and talked with Adam Korzun, our [team] nutritionist, and some other friends around the league about how I can extend my career and how I can be and feel healthier.”

Let’s see if this offer has an impact, if any, on Rodgers’ decision.
