Lawmakers held an explosive hearing on Wednesday on the topic of UFOs, and things got, well, weird.
Appearing before the House Oversight Committee’s national security subcommittee was David Grusch, a former intelligence officer, along with two fighter pilots with firsthand unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) experiences. Grusch was the star, revealing an alleged top-secret multi-decade crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program, only to be denied access and accusing the military of misappropriating funds.

Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle are now scratching their heads, wondering how in the world (or beyond it) they should proceed with these astonishing claims. Uncovering a cover-up? Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) thinks so.
Of course, the Pentagon remained tight-lipped about Grusch’s jaw-dropping assertions, probably fearing their spacecraft secrets would be exposed. But with all the video evidence of these unexplained encounters—nondescript objects zooming through the sky without any obvious propulsion—it’s hard to dismiss it all as mere illusions.
With roughly 800 UAP reports investigated, there’s no denying that there’s more to these bizarre happenings than meets the eye.
“I think what we experienced was, like I said, well beyond the material science and the capabilities that we had at the time, that we have currently, or that we’re going to have in the next 10 to 20 years,” said David Fravor, who spotted a large object captured in the now-famous “Tic Tac” video during a flight off the coast of California in 2004.
Wednesday’s hearing unfolded amidst lawmakers’ newfound audacity to extract more information from the military and intelligence agencies concerning these perplexing incidents. Kennedy’s assassination, this measure compels executive branch agencies to surrender their records on UAPs to a review board with an unwavering commitment to immediate disclosure. Agencies must muster a formidable defense to justify retaining classified records, should their requests challenge the review board’s unequivocal quest for truth.
A separate House panel, breaking through a half-century of silence, bore witness to Pentagon officials’ riveting testimony last summer, unveiling a new chapter in their quest for factuality.
During the hearing, both Democratic and Republican lawmakers voiced their vexation regarding the dearth of information forthcoming from the military and intelligence agencies. They chastised an excessive classification system that cloaks these incidents, denying the public a glimpse into the extraordinary occurrences.
“Disclosure ought to be an immediate reality. Today, if possible. Tomorrow, at the latest. The moment has arrived,” declared the passionate Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz of Florida.
