White House denounces anti-Jewish hate after Jayapal controversy.

The ‌White ⁤House Condemns “Anti-Jewish⁤ Hate”⁣ Amidst‍ Controversy

The White House has issued a ⁤strong response to⁢ recent ‌comments⁣ made ​by⁤ a‍ progressive ⁣lawmaker, ⁢aiming​ to ​address the growing‌ controversy​ surrounding ​the ​issue of‍ “anti-Jewish ​hate”.

Over⁢ the‌ weekend,‌ Rep.⁣ Pramila⁣ Jayapal (D-WA)⁤ sparked ‌a​ heated debate ⁢by labeling⁢ Israel ⁢as “a​ racist state” during⁤ a conference. ⁢In light ⁢of this, ⁢the ⁢Biden ​administration⁤ initially⁢ welcomed her⁤ apology on ⁣Monday, but took further‌ action ‌on Tuesday.

“When​ it​ comes ‌to ⁣antisemitism, ‌the ⁣entire Biden-Harris administration has been⁣ clear that⁣ when⁤ Israel is singled ​out ‍because of anti-Jewish ⁤hate,⁣ that is unacceptable,” emphasized⁣ press‍ secretary Karine ‌Jean-Pierre ​in‍ response ‍to ‍a reporter’s question.⁤ “We’ve ‍been clear on speaking ‌against antisemitism.”

Although‍ Jean-Pierre‌ did not‍ directly mention ⁣Jayapal⁣ or ⁢her ​comments, she‍ built ‍upon‍ the remarks‍ made⁣ the ⁤previous day ⁢by⁢ National Security ‌Council⁢ coordinator‌ John Kirby.

“An apology⁤ was⁢ the right thing to do for ‍those comments,”​ he ⁢stated. ⁣”Our commitment⁤ to​ Israel ⁢is ⁤ironclad. We’re⁤ going⁤ to make⁤ that⁢ clear and ‍consistent every chance⁣ we get.”

During‍ the press briefing,⁣ President Joe​ Biden‌ was engaged ⁤in⁢ a ‌meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog,⁣ underscoring ⁤the significance‍ of​ the⁢ issue ‍at⁤ hand.

Jayapal, in⁤ response to‍ protesters who disrupted the ⁣conference ​where she‌ was speaking,⁤ initially asserted ⁤that “we ‌have ⁤been⁤ fighting⁣ to ⁤make‍ it ⁣clear that Israel ‍is ⁣a⁣ racist⁢ state”. However, ‌she promptly⁢ apologized ​within ‌hours, clarifying that ⁤she⁣ does⁢ not believe Israel as‍ a ‌nation⁤ is inherently racist.

Republicans⁤ Criticize DOE Gas Stove Proposal

In other news,⁤ Republicans ⁤have⁢ strongly ‌criticized ‌the Department​ of Energy’s gas stove proposal,‍ deeming it⁣ an “alarming ​violation”‍ of the​ law.
