White House confirms ISIS-associated smuggler aided migrants’ entry into US via Mexico.
White House Confirms Smuggler with Ties to ISIS Assisted Migrants in Entering the United States
The White House has confirmed a report that has set off alarm bells throughout the government. According to CNN, the FBI is currently investigating a group of Uzbek nationals who entered the country through the southern border earlier this year. What’s concerning is that these migrants were aided by a smuggler with connections to ISIS.
This revelation was so alarming that it prompted urgent classified intelligence reports and emergency meetings among top national security and administration officials. The gravity of the situation cannot be understated.

“The intelligence alerted us to a human smuggling network. We moved fast and successfully to disrupt it,” said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “We are very grateful to law enforcement for their quick work and their vigilance on this.”
While the smugglers have been detained overseas, one of them has ties to ISIS. However, there is currently no evidence linking the migrants themselves to terrorism.
Efforts are underway to identify and assess all individuals who entered the United States through this network. It is important to note that no specific ISIS plot has been identified at this time.
“There’s no sign that anyone moved by the smuggling network has a terrorist connection,” reassured Ms. Jean-Pierre.
As a precaution, individuals brought into the country by the smuggling network are undergoing extra vetting and are all in removal proceedings. Additionally, anyone crossing the border who matches the profile of those involved in the smuggling network will face additional scrutiny, detention, and expedited removal proceedings.
While the investigation is ongoing, it is crucial to remain vigilant. The FBI is still looking into more than 15 of the migrants as potential criminal threats.
“This is a White House that is committed to making sure that we are protecting our homeland and also protecting the American people. That is our commitment. We will continue to be vigilant on that,” emphasized Ms. Jean-Pierre.
Unsurprisingly, Republicans have taken to social media to express their concerns and criticize President Biden’s response to the border crisis.
“Smuggler with ties to ISIS helped illegal aliens enter the US from Mexico,” tweeted Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
