White House journalist who gave her question to Joe Biden chosen for WHCA board position.
Reporter Who Questioned Biden with Cue Card Elected to WHCA Board
Courtney Subramanian of the Los Angeles Times has been elected to the print seat on the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) Board. This means she will be the lead print correspondent for the rest of President Joe Biden’s first term.
Subramanian gained attention when her face and name appeared on a cheat sheet that Biden was holding during a joint press conference. Despite arguments that her question was not identical to what was on the cue card, it was clear that her question closely resembled the prepared script.
Biden’s response further confirmed the connection between the cheat sheet and Subramanian’s question. The Los Angeles Times denied allegations that they submitted questions to Biden’s White House ahead of time, but this incident raises concerns about Biden’s ability to answer basic questions without a script.
Furthermore, this incident highlights the corrupt relationship between powerful Democrats and the media. The WHCA has a history of selectively defending outlets and reporters, favoring left-wing activism over honest reporting. The association has also been known to bestow prestigious awards upon media partisans who push their preferred narratives.
The WHCA’s seating chart for the presidential press briefing room reveals a clear bias towards establishment media, with only a small number of seats allocated to conservative outlets. This system perpetuates the dominance of corrupt, establishment media and limits diverse perspectives.
