Karine Jean-Pierre, White House Press Secretary, announced that Bedingfield would be leaving the White House in February to be replaced by Ben LaBolt. She made it clear that this was a historic move.
KJP states that Ben LaBolt, an openly homosexual man, is something everyone should know. This is what the Biden administration is all for “representation”You can see it, and LaBolt further proves that.

Does everyone feel better now? It’s all about feelings and checking boxes when it comes to personnel decisions in the Biden White House. It should be asked if he is capable of doing the job. The American people don’t care about his sexual preference. They only want to see qualified people in the White House. Team Biden’s constant virtue-signaling is demeaning for the people they hire, regardless of whether they know it or not. It was as though LaBolt’s sexuality is the most important characteristic of him, not his career experience or accomplishments. The White House of Biden just wants to be able say that they are “making history” With the hire.
You may be familiar with Kate Bedingfield’s resignation announcement last summer. But she later changed her mind, and decided to remain. She’s been with Joe Biden since 2015 and is a top adviser. She will be joining Joe Biden’s consulting team for his re-election campaign. She is leaving along with several other top staff. Similar procedure.
Since 2015, when Mr. Biden appointed her communications director, Ms. Bedingfield has been an adviser to him. She was also among the first staff members who joined his 2020 presidential campaign.
In a statement, Mr. Biden called Mrs. Bedingfield “a loyal and trusted adviser, through thick and thin” She was praised and praised for being a great woman. “a critical strategic voice” In his orbit and a “key part of advancing my agenda in the White House.”
She is set to leave along with several other top White House aides at the halfway mark of the president’s term. Ron Klain, Mr. Biden’s first chief of staff, announced his departure this month. Brian Deese is also leaving, as director of the National Economic Council.
LaBolt has the experience to communicate effectively for the president, He has worked for top Democrats. He served as Obama’s press secretary when Obama was in the Senate. He was an assistant press secretary in Obama’s White House. Later, he worked as an assistant press secretary in Obama’s White House. Rahm Emanuel is an Obama alumnus and former Chicago mayor. LaBolt was involved in the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji brown Jackson. Biden made sure to mention this, however. “making history” His cabinet appointments.
Mr. Biden called Mr. LaBolt “a first-rate communicator” And he said he had an a “cutting-edge understanding” An analysis of how Americans use information in the digital age.
“I saw him fight for Justice Jackson, and he put his all into helping us make history confirming our cabinet and subcabinet nominees,” The statement was signed by Mr. Biden. “I’m proud to have him rejoin this team.”
Biden acknowledged Bedingfield’s family His remarks Concerning her departure.
“She was a critical strategic voice from the very first day of my presidential campaign in 2019 and has been a key part of advancing my agenda in the White House. The country is better off as a result of her hard work and I’m so grateful to her — and to her husband and two young children — for giving so much. Ben has big shoes to fill,” Biden said.
A person’s sexuality should not be a key factor in hiring. Did LaBolt get the job because he was gay? Probably not but we’ll never know. By making a point of saying he’s openly gay, it puts a focus on something that has nothing to do with his job. Who cares? People simply want to know if they can do the job. This should be all Biden’s concern. The problem with Biden’s hires is that so many of them have turned out to be identity box checkers, not the most qualified people for the job.
You don’t need to look further than Pete Buttigieg, Transportation Secretary. He was hired to thank Biden for his endorsement. When he was elected transportation secretary, we only heard that he was gay and had been the first openly gay transportation secretary. He was the failed mayor of a small midwest city. He has absolutely no experience to qualify for the job but he’s gay so that’s that or something. It’s crazy. What happened? Buttigieg has been absent from every crisis. While he took paternity leaves almost immediately after he started his job and was in Europe for the train strike talks negotiations, Buttigieg has done little to help ease the supply chain problems. What is his day like? Pete was in Louisiana to inspect a bridge that had been funded by the infrastructure bill when airline executives testified before Congress last week. What is the transportation secretary doing in order to reduce the chaos of airline travel?
I’ll point out that KJP is also a good example of someone who was apparently hired for reasons other than competence in her job. Much has been made over the fact that she’s an immigrant, black, and a lesbian. She’s also utterly incompetent in her job. Making history is great, but it is only possible if you have the necessary level of competence. This is particularly true for White House employees.
