White House Report Card: Kamala Harris is no Ronald Reagan – Washington Examiner
The recent White House Report Card evaluates the performance of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden is preparing to resume campaigning after an extended vacation but has faced criticism for his absence during memorials honoring service members killed during the Afghanistan withdrawal. Meanwhile, Harris gave her first national TV interview in weeks, where she offered limited policy details but managed to avoid significant gaffes.
Conservative analyst Jed Babbin awarded the White House a grade of “F,” criticizing both Biden and Harris for their lack of public presence and for trying to project a more moderate image of Harris akin to former President Ronald Reagan. In contrast, Democratic pollster John Zogby rated the week as “C-plus,” noting positive economic indicators and suggesting that Harris’s economic competence is being recognized.
the report highlights the contrasting evaluations of Biden and Harris while showcasing a mixed political landscape with judicial setbacks for Biden’s policies but also signs of potential economic recovery.
White House Report Card: Kamala Harris is no Ronald Reagan
This week’s White House Report Card finds President Joe Biden expected to end his extended vacation to hit the campaign trail next week for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris left her hideout midweek for her first national TV interview in weeks and offered little policy plans but did not damage herself in answering largely softball questions lofted by CNN correspondent Dana Bash.
While he was shown lounging on a Delaware beach, Biden was nicked again by the U.S. Supreme Court in its latest decision to block the White House bailout of college loan deadbeats.
But he did get more good news about slowing inflation.
Conservative grader Jed Babbin gave the White House a grade of “F” for the week, citing Biden’s absence during memorials for the 13 killed during the Afghan withdrawal three years ago. And he ridiculed media efforts to pump Harris up and compared her communication skills to the modern-day “great communicator,” former President Ronald Reagan.
Democratic pollster John Zogby gave the week a “C-plus,” citing the improving economy.

Grade: F
On Monday, former President Donald Trump laid a wreath in honor of the 13 marines, soldiers, and sailors who were killed in President Joe Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal debacle three years ago. Both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were conspicuously absent from the ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
We were treated to the most amazing sights and sounds in the presidential campaign this week. Most were the attempts by the media and the Harris campaign to make the lefty appear to be a moderate.
The worst calumny ever heaped on a Republican president came from ABC’s Jonathan Karl who compared Harris to former President Ronald Reagan. That absurdity is an enormous slander against the Gipper’s career, beliefs and accomplishments. Harris has no accomplishments to cite, her beliefs are those of the most radical progressive.
Make no mistake: Harris is a radical. In her canned CNN interview Thursday, she said that though her positions are changing, her values haven’t. And, despite the help she got from CNN interviewer Dana Bash, those values showed through.
For example, she said that Bidenomics was “good work.” Bidenomics includes all the measures that caused the worst inflation in 40 years. We can expect more such “help” from Harris if she’s elected president in November.
Harris tried to hide her border radicalism under the cloak of “some consequences” that the illegal aliens should face. Harris, of course, refused to say what they were. There will be none. Harris said this month that she favored an “earned pathway to citizenship” for the 10 million illegal immigrants who have come into our country under the Biden administration. The more illegals that come in, the more Harris and the Democrats see probable voters.
There’s no getting around the fact that Harris is among the most radical of the progressives, especially about our open borders, which she will do everything she can to keep open.
What else can we expect from Harris? NASA is reportedly requiring DEI statements and pledges before funding scientific research. The Biden administration required that from Day 1 for all federal agencies and we should expect more of the same from a Harris administration.

Grade: C+
It is getting a tad more difficult to grade President Joe Biden because he has had little public presence.
This week was mixed. Federal courts have blocked his executive orders on student loan forgiveness, protections for spouses of undocumented immigrants, and recognition of transgender rights.
On the positive side, consumer confidence is ticking up, Vice President Kamala Harris is now seen as capable as her opponent on handling the economy. And in her interview with CNN, she enthusiastically supported her boss instead of running away from his record.
While Biden was barely seen, former President Donald Trump was omnipresent and pushing the envelope of controversy even more than ever.
