White House Says Biden Wants to Meet With Xi as CCP ‘Attempts to Increase’ Influence

According to the White House and President Joe Biden, Communist China is on a constant march for power throughout the world.

After a deal between CCP and Saudi Arabia to reestablish diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the White House acknowledges that the Chinese Communist Party is making progress in boosting its international reputation.

“China has made no secret of the fact that it wants to expand its influence around the world, whether that’s in Africa, Latin America, or the Middle East,” John Kirby, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, stated this in a March 17th press call.

Kirby stated that the CCP was using this newly negotiated deal to boost its propaganda standing. Kirby declined to answer questions about whether the deal was part the wider strategy of the CCP to undermine the United States and expand its legitimacy.

“I would be cautious in speculating that there’s some sort of grand strategy afoot,” Kirby said.

“It’s more a part of their attempts to increase their influence and to look as though their influence is in fact increasing.”

Surprise announcement of this deal follows the failure of the CCP to position itself as peace broker in the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The regime issued a 12-point rating “peace plan” In February, despite not having met with Ukrainian officials about the matter, It repeated many Russian propaganda points, and claimed that the United States of America and its NATO allies were responsible for the war.

“There are some things I disagree with, that I think the entire world disagrees with,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian President, spoke at the time about the document.

“[But] I want to believe that China is going to side with the idea of peace and fairness, which is our side.”

However, the White House has taken note of the CCP’s increased engagement in international affairs and efforts to rally authoritarian power against the United States.

Kirby indicated that the Biden Administration was currently in the process of arranging a meeting in person between President Biden and CCP leader Xi Jinping.

“The President has said he wants to talk to President Xi in the near future,” Kirby said. “We will work to set that up.”

“To my knowledge there’s been no outreach to the Chinese to work on the logistics at this point.”
