White House promotes ‘Bidenomics’ amidst voter dissatisfaction with economy.
The White House Touts “Bidenomics” Despite Economic Concerns
“Today, the U.S. has had the highest economic growth among the world’s leading economies since the pandemic,” Biden said during a speech in Chicago on his economic policies. “We’ve added over 13 million jobs, more jobs in two years than any president has added in a four-year term. And folks, that’s no accident. That’s Bidenomics in action.”
Biden believes that “Bidenomics,” his economic plan, will resonate with voters as he prepares for his reelection bid next year. He describes it as “building the economy from the middle out and bottom up.”
The White House released a fact sheet on Wednesday, stating that “Bidenomics” is already benefiting the American people.
However, despite the administration’s focus on Biden’s economic success, recent polls show that many Americans are not optimistic about the economy.
- The number of Americans who feel confident about having a comfortable retirement hit its lowest point since 2012 last month.
- In May, Gallup reported that fewer Americans think it’s a good time to buy a house than at any time since 1978.
- An April CNBC poll found that 70 percent of Americans admit to being stressed about their personal finances, with inflation being a major concern.
- A poll commissioned by the Job Creators Network Foundation in April revealed that 59 percent of business owners are concerned about economic conditions under the Biden administration, and 70 percent expect the small business climate to remain the same or worsen.
Despite these concerns, the majority of Americans predicted at the beginning of the year that taxes would increase along with the federal deficit.
