Jason Miller warns White House will no longer be full of ‘pushovers’
Trump senior adviser Jason Miller previewed how the Trump administration would tackle threats to the nation, warning that the White House’s leadership would not be made up of “pushovers.”
President-elect Donald Trump warned the Hamas terrorist group on Tuesday that “all hell would break out” if the group does not release its hostages by Inauguration Day, set for Jan. 20. Ahead of Trump’s return to the White House, Miller argued that Trump had “a fantastic record of peace and prosperity” during his first four years in office, which runs counter to President Joe Biden’s leadership following the Afghanistan withdrawal.
“And quite frankly, after Afghanistan, we saw the entire world look at Joe Biden and say, ‘The United States is going to be a big pushover,’” Miller explained on Fox News’s The Story with Martha MacCallum. “Once you lose that deterrence, you can’t get it back. But President Trump is making it very clear that ‘Hey, we’re going to go back to the policies of having a safe and secure and peaceful and prosperous Middle East.’”
Miller further explained that there were “no new wars” under Trump’s first presidential term, including no war between Ukraine and Russia. As such, the senior adviser claimed that Trump’s leadership would be how the United States brings back peace to the world, starting with “a strong White House.”
Since Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, the Biden administration has sought to reach a deal between the Middle Eastern country and the terrorist group that would include a release of Hamas’s hostages. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that the government wants to get a deal finalized before the end of the Biden administration.
On Monday, Lara Trump said her father-in-law and the next administration will address the “hornet’s nest” of terrorism affecting the nation, calling for it in the wake of the New Orleans terrorist attack on New Year’s Day. She specifically mentioned how Trump “eradicated” ISIS during his first term but now ISIS is in the news again due to “a failure at the top” of the nation’s government.
