Whoopi Goldberg Has Some Dumb Thoughts About the Police

During Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg used Tyre Nichols’ tragic, police-related death in Memphis, Tennessee, to attack American police officers all over the country.

Goldberg Speaks Out

According to the Memphis Police Department, Nichols was a black man who died earlier this month in Memphis after being brutally beat by a group black officers. Mediaite. After admitting that it was a tragedy, Goldberg used the tragedy to call for reform in the police force across the country. “clearly it doesn’t matter if it’s a white policeman or black policeman. It is the problem with the policing itself.”

“Seems things don’t make sense to people unless it’s somebody they can feel or they can recognize,” Goldberg stated. “Do we need to see white people also get beaten before anybody will do anything?”

“I’m not suggesting that, so don’t write us and tell me what a racist I am,” She was quick to add. “I’m just asking is that what people have to see in order to wake up and realize this affects us all?”

Ana Navarro Agrees

“People would have done more to help a dog out than they did to help Tyre Nichols!” Goldberg’s co-host Ana Navarro said in agreement.

“These cops were part of the SCORPION Unit,” Navarro continued. “It could not have been more aptly named because they were filled with poison and hatred and the desire to kill. That night they were out hunting for a victim, who just happened to be this young man, Tyre Nichols.”

“How many more times are we going to have to see black youth beaten to death, beaten to the point of not being recognizable, and do it over and over again?” she questioned.

Goldberg closed the segment by announcing that she has “had it up to here with this [sh*t]”

“I don’t know what we have to do! I don’t get it. I don’t understand why we are constantly asking and asking and asking. Is it just because folks have dehumanized us and made us like some kind of monsters,” She said. “I’m sick of this! You should be sick of this…Let’s get something done, because this is not gonna stop until we stop it.”

Goldberg’s Previous Attack On Police

Goldberg has criticized police numerous times in the past. She called for a reform of American police agencies in 2020 because she believed it was essential. “reteach … how to police again.”

“Well, racism is in the heart of the country,” She stated that she had said the following: Yahoo News. “You can’t get away from it. Children are taught it without realizing that that’s what they’re learning. So, the first thing that has to happen is people have to first look at people and see them for who they are, not for who they fear they are, but for who they actually are.”

“The good cops have to call out bad behavior, so we can get rid of the bad cops,” She went on. “And reteach police departments around the country how to police again. Because now they’re soldiers, and we’re not in a war. We’re not in wars in our towns and neighborhoods. So they must relearn how to police.”

While Nichols’s death was shocking, liberal media shouldn’t use his death to attack millions upon millions of officers in the country.

American police officers are a vast majority good people who risk their lives every day for the rest of us. They deserve to be respected and admired, not condemned by Hollywood elites like Whoopi Goldberg.
