Why The Woke Mob Came For ‘Final Fantasy’
The 16th game of the long-running series “Final Fantasy” The series will be out in the near future, and it looks amazing. The trailer, which was dropped in December, featured amazing graphics, heart-racing action and the killer soundtrack for the nearly 40-year-old franchise.
As the game’s release date nears, the radical left is reminding people that this game is terrible and that you will be punished if you play it. Why? Because it didn’t include any black people.
When the trailer was first released, race-obsessed losers saw that none of the characters had darker skin tones. They lost their minds and quickly forgot about it. Gaming outlet IGN questioned several members of its development team during an interview. “Can we expect to see black characters in ‘Final Fantasy XVI,’ or people of color in general?”
As if a good game would require black players.
Producer Naoki Yamada stated that the game was heavily influenced by medieval European cultures and civilisations. He also said that the team wanted to keep the setting true to their imaginations by making the characters look European. The team wanted to be able to say that, he said. “the focus to be less on the outward appearance of the characters and more on who they are as people — people who are complex and diverse in their natures, backgrounds, beliefs, personalities, and motivations. People whose stories we can resonate with.”
So, actual diversity. The left claimed that this was just an excuse, and that the game is racist and evil. There are no black people in the game. Dragons, magic, and monsters can be created. Your game won’t be as immersive if you have minorities. This is a big problem.
My favorite part is when leftists claim that medieval Europe was also diverse and that London, 800 AD, had the same ethnic makeup today as San Francisco. This has become a popular theme among the radical left. They insist that minorities must be included even if it seems strange.
Take “God of War: Ragnarok.” The game centers on Kratos, who embarks on an adventure through ancient Scandinavia. During his quest, Kratos encounters the gods and goddesses from the Norse pantheon, such as Thor and Odin.
Angrboda, the mother of monsters as well as Loki’s lover, is also featured. The developers of the game decided that this Norse character from a culture far removed from Africa should be black. This was a reaction from fans who said it didn’t make sense and broke immersion. The developers quickly shut them down as racists, and they were told that it’s fantasy and they could do whatever they wish.
This is why immersion is so important. Immersion is what keeps you engaged and sucked into a game. If the story takes an unexpected turn, the player loses interest and is forced to leave. For narrative-based games such as “Final Fantasy” “God of War,” Immersion is the cornerstone
If you are concerned about the consistency of the lore, such as characters that reflect their setting, people will call you a racist and a bigot. It’s not a bigot to want a game that makes sense.
This is the second really frustrating aspect of the whole. “Final Fantasy XVI” Drama highlights the idea that representation is crucial for minorities gamers. Otherwise, they won’t be able to put themselves in the story. IGN interviewed one of the participants in the interview. “As someone who’s been Black and a ‘Final Fantasy’ fan all her life, I, too, had a problem with Yoshida’s answer.”
You were a fan of “Final Fantasy” It wasn’t back then. “diverse”? That makes you a terrible person, you say!
Realistically, characters in games should be viewed as complex, multi-faceted, and interconnected stories. These merits should be what players relate to, and not things like race or sex.
Lee from Telltale is my favourite video game character. “Walking Dead” series. Lee is selfless and courageous. He also acts as a positive role model for a young girl that he cares about throughout the game. He is also a black man. My brother is a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan, and last I checked, he was still an actual human being.
By obsessing on race, the left is destroying good storytelling. Story is always first. It doesn’t really matter if characters are purple, pink or black. You don’t have to be a yellow mouse, but I still love Pokemon.
