Conservative British politician Nigel Farage warns of banks targeting individuals with different political views
According to Breitbart, Farage has raised concerns about banks becoming highly politically active.
Farage himself was de-banked due to his political opinions, but the bank reversed its decision after he made it public, as reported by The Western Journal.
As an architect of Brexit, Farage argues that if banks can target him, they can do the same to anyone.
He reveals that British clearing banks are collaborating with credit agencies to conduct social media checks on their customers, indicating that this practice is on the verge of becoming a reality.

Farage accuses banks with Environmental, Social and Governance programs of employing individuals who have a strong dislike for those who don’t share their worldview. These banks assess the worthiness of customers based on their social media activities.
Farage claims to have heard from “thousands and thousands” of people who have shared their banking nightmares with him, as reported by The Western Journal.
He cites an example where a depositor was deemed to be abusing staff simply because they refused to explain why they wanted to withdraw cash, resulting in the closure of their account.
“We bailed out the banks in 2008. Now they’re closing branches, refusing to deal with cash businesses and debanking thousands of people. Someone had to blow the lid off this”

Farage believes that this issue is much larger than anticipated and emphasizes the importance of free speech and fair treatment in a society where having a bank account is essential for personal and business transactions, according to the Telegraph.

American banks are also engaging in similar practices, as highlighted by Jay Hobbs in an article for the Alliance Defending Freedom.
Hobbs mentions that JPMorgan Chase demanded the National Committee for Religious Freedom to disclose donor names and potential political affiliations as a condition for reopening an account that was abruptly closed.
He argues that this pattern of debanking must be challenged, and business leaders, especially those in C-suite positions at banks and financial institutions, should use their influence to reject debanking altogether.
