Woman escapes after man held her captive in locked closet for two months: Police
A A Tennessee police spokesperson said that a man who she had been in a relationship with for two months kept a woman captive in a locked room for two months.
The Dyersburg Police Department released a statement Wednesday saying that Brenton Bell, 30, was captured by officers four days after receiving a report about a possible kidnapping. Officers claimed that a woman was hiding under a newly constructed home in the city when they responded to the reports.

“The 40-year-old victim had facial cuts and was reported to be very thin, weighing under 100 pounds,” According to the police, the woman had told them that she was in prison for two months. She was locked up with a cable and locked by a lock device. She was only allowed to leave the closet for one hour each day. “The victim was provided very limited food and no bathroom facilities.”
Bell was identified as the suspect. She was also wanted for aggravated child abduction. The woman claimed that she had been in a relationship before Bell left her, but that things changed after Bell was arrested. “physically abusive.”
According to police the victim was taken into a local hospital.
