Woods aims for monthly events after comeback
Tiger Woods Plans to Return to Competitive Golf in 2024

Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, announced on Sunday that he is ready to make a comeback to competitive golf. After participating in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, Woods expressed his confidence in being able to play in one event per month in 2024.
The 15-time major winner finished 18th in the tournament, which he hosts for the benefit of his charity. This was Woods’ first event since withdrawing from the Masters in April due to injury and subsequent ankle surgery.
Due to a serious leg injury from a car crash in 2021, Woods has been following a limited competition schedule. However, he revealed that his plan for next year is to participate in one tournament per month.
“Once a month seems reasonable,” Woods stated. “It gives me a couple of weeks to recover and a week to tune up. Maybe I can get into the rhythm,” he added in an interview with Golf channel.
Woods also expressed his excitement about playing in the upcoming PNC Championship in Orlando alongside his son Charlie, formerly known as the Father/Son Challenge.
Reflecting on his performance at the Hero World Challenge, Woods said, “Every day I got faster into the round. The first day it took me a while to get a handle on it. Second day was faster and today was right away.” He acknowledged that he needs to improve his physical fitness but feels optimistic about his game.
“I don’t have the bone pain that I did, but I still have to go through with the same protocols. It takes a long time, that’s the unfortunate thing about aging,” Woods shared.
