During a recent interview, Wray was asked about Trump’s unconventional approach to storing classified documents throughout his residence. In response, Wray emphasized the importance of following specific rules for the proper storage of such sensitive information.
“There are specific rules about where to store classified information, and those need to be stored in a SCIF,” Wray explained. “In my experience, ballrooms, bathrooms, and bedrooms are not SCIFs.”
Trump now faces 37 felony counts related to his handling of classified documents. While a special counsel appointed by the Department of Justice led the investigation, it was the FBI that carried out the search at Trump’s Florida residence.
