YouTuber MrBeast Puts Billionaires Like Bezos, Musk To Shame With His Love Of Humanity
The 10 most powerful people in the World According Forbes estimates that they are worth $1,187,000,000,000. Yup, that’s more than a trillion dollars.
Some of them you’ve heard of (Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates), but others you haven’t (including No. Bernard Arnault, his family and their cosmetics and fashion empire are worth more than $211billion.
They do good work, even if they are bad people. Gates has met Jeffrey Epstein many times and also helped end malaria through the Gates Foundation.
Some people, however, are egomaniacal narcissists like Musk and Bezos. Both men are spending billions of dollars in a bizarre space race, and they both play astronauts. Bezos also owned a 417-foot yacht that cost over $500 million, and which has an annual income of $25 million. Maintenance cost. It is unnecessary.!
They’ve made their billions off the backs of the working man, even exploiting child labor. The new Report The Daily Mail published Monday’s show in its Sunday edition. “barefoot children covered in chemicals, endlessly smashing open rocks for $2-a-day; exhausted new mothers with their babies strapped to them, sifting through nets of rocks in the hopes of finding the precious cobalt,” This is used in almost every high tech product.
Then there’s MrBeast, the most-subscribed contributor and influencer on YouTube (130 million people subscribe to his page). In reality, he’s just 24-year-old Jimmy Donaldson.
Donaldson is determined to help others, and unlike billionaires. He paid for the simple eye surgery of 1,000 people and helped them avoid blindness. Working with the non-profit eye care organization, See, he helped doctors remove severe cataracts in people’s eyes across the world.
MrBeast also gave See $100,000, handed over $10,000 to a number of patients, bought one a Tesla, and even gave $50,000 to another’s college fund.
This video has been viewed by 50 million people. Take 8 minutes to watch it. But get some tissues first.
[embedded content]Charlie, a patient with severe cataracts, is shown in the video. He couldn’t work because of it. After receiving the surgery, Charlie can see again — and he reads a big video screen that says, “You just won $10,000.”
One doctor says in the video, “half of all the blindness in the world is people who need a 10-minute surgery.”
After fixing 20 people’s eyes, Donaldson says, “We’ve still got 980 lives left to change.”
Donaldson mentions at the end that he would like to make this life-changing treatment available worldwide. “nearly half the population with curable blindness doesn’t have access to surgery. I wanted to provide this to as many people as possible.”
So he travels to Vietnam and Honduras, Namibia. Brazil. Indonesia. Kenya.
Just like that, a YouTuber has shamed the world’s richest people — Musk, Bezos, Buffett, and all the rest. And don’t get me started on the Kardashians.
Remember, that’s just how easy it is to bring change to the world — if you’re not a narcissistic billionaire trying to fly to Mars. You rich people out there: maybe you can help fix the Earth before your aim for the stars.
