Zoom Denies Using Customer Data for AI​ Training Without Consent

Videoconferencing platform Zoom has‌ recently faced allegations of using customer data for ⁣artificial⁢ intelligence⁣ (AI) training without ⁢their consent. However, the company has swiftly denied these reports and clarified its stance in an informative blog post.

In the blog post published on August 7th,​ Zoom addressed the concerns raised by ​its updated Terms ⁣of Service. The‌ company emphasized that it respects user privacy and will not ‌utilize their data for training ⁢AI models unless explicit consent is given by the customers themselves.

Based in San⁤ Jose, California, Zoom had initially revised its terms⁣ of service in March. The purpose of these updates was to enhance ⁣transparency regarding the usage and ownership of different types of content on their platform.
